The home page picture “Project Map Plaza to Downtown” was taken from the Sulgrave Regency roof on the Plaza’s south side during a property condition assessment.  The map shows over 25 buildings in which Thompson Design has performed analysis or design engineering services including others, not pictured, that border the Plaza including UMKC and the Intercontinental Hotel, formerly the Alameda and Ritz.  Historical note:  Thompson Design, formerly a branch office of St. Louis based EDM, was located in the Plaza Tower Building at 47th and Wyandotte for ten years, the beginning of a 30+ year legacy.
