American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE)

ASHRAE, founded in 1894, is a building technology society with more than 54,000 members worldwide. The Society and its members focus on building systems energy efficiency, indoor air quality, refrigeration and sustainability within the industry. Central Industrial District Association (CIDA)

CIDA has witnessed a major growth spurt as a result of an effective public-private partnership that has planned investments of over $200 Million to resolve the numerous infrastructure issues. Hope stimulated by this new investment has stimulated the investment of numerous new companies and has slowed the tendency of companies to leave the area. CIDA, the industrial area of the Kansas City Industrial Council that encompasses the West Bottoms and Livestock District, works with city authorities to study the district’s potential and map its future development.

Harvesters the Community Food Network

Harvesters is a clearinghouse for the collection and distribution of food and related household products, helping people since 1979 by collecting food and household products from community and industry sources, distributing those products and providing nutrition services through a network of nonprofit agencies and offering leadership and education programs to increase community awareness of hunger and generate solutions to alleviate hunger.
